If you are currently an undergraduate student and are interested in working as a research assistant, either for credit (PSYC 3590) or as a volunteer, email us at sbdlab@gmail.com for more information!

Most students work 7 or 10 hours per week, and they typically run psychology experiments (either in the lab or via Zoom), categorize participants' open-ended responses for qualitative analysis, generate stories or pictures as experiment stimuli, manage participant recruitment and data entry, create Qualtrics surveys, brainstorm for future studies, and occasionally run preliminary analyses using the R programming language. Although our lab is moving to the university hospital, we do not conduct clinical research, and we only use non-invasive methods in our studies.

Some of the research projects in the lab are done virtually, so feel free to mention if you have a preference for in-person work or virtual work.

We are not hiring for the fall 2024 semester, but please email us if you're interested in working with us in future semesters.
